I would like to share some constructive feedback regarding my recent visits. I appreciate the care and expertise your practice has provided over the years. However, I have noticed that as the number of patients has increased, the personal, empathetic, and caring atmosphere that originally distinguished your office seems to be diminishing. During my last few visit, I felt that questions and concerns were addressed in a rushed manner due to time constraints and the need to move quickly to the next patient. As a patient, this made me feel less supported and less comfortable discussing my visual concerns and treatment options. I truly value your mission and dedication to improving patients’ vision and quality of life. My hope is that this feedback may help preserve the compassionate and patient-centered approach that initially made your practice so exceptional.

Great care and very happy with results but having difficulty getting through to doctor for issues with medications. Been waiting two weeks to hear back from him. Also, I don’t care personally but I wanted to point out that throughout all my visits I have noticed no one ever closes the door in the treatment rooms. I think it’s the culture of the office because it’s so fast paced

The whole visit was amazing. The interaction among the doctors while examining was great and resulted in an optimal outcome.

Always professional & friendly service. I would highly recommend this practice for anyone needing an eye doctor for regular check ups and everything else including eye surgeries.

Your services are very professional and comprehensive. All employees are courteous and knowledgeable. My outcome was positive and I'm glad I chose Assill Gaur for this surgery. My only negative comment would be about the horrendously long 90210 Health site questionnaire. IMO, It was needlessly deep with hundreds of questions and took 20-30 minutes to go through with medical questions I've never been asked before (I'm 74). I was not prepared for such an ordeal, and it left me wondering who 90210 Health was or if it was even part of your company! A little heads up it was coming would've been appropriate, as it came out of the blue, and suggested I might not be permitted to continue if I didn't fill it out completely! This is why I gave you a 9.

I am so beyond grateful for Doctor Assil and his incredible staff. I could not have asked for a better experience!

I think asking me to arrive at 5 am for a 6:30 procedure was unnecessary. If you asked me to be there promptly by 5:45, that would have been plenty of time for pre-op and more respectful of my time.

I have repeatedly recommended Dr. Asill for his exceptional skill and patient focused approach. I wouldn’t trust my vision to anyone else for a procedure.

I would love to have the front desk to be more private. Just not shouting my name out very loudly when it is time to be seen or answer a question.

Doctor Assil did a great job on my Lasik, but there was very little acknowledgement of the fact that I traveled out of state to see him multiple times…consult, procedure and follow up. He was in and out in less than 5 minutes each time. I get that he’s busy—I’m also a physician—but the process just felt very robotic to me. Optometrist popped in at one point and didn’t even introduce herself and just said she’s there to check my eyes. An introduction would’ve been nice. I guess I just expected more given the expense, traveling out of state 3x and the fact that 6 of my family members have been treated by him. Thats why I came, otherwise I would’ve just had it done closer to home. They want me to come back in 3 months to check and then determine if I need a touch up—had the bedside manner been better, I would’ve booked flights right away. Given my experience, there’s no way I’m going to spend hundreds of dollars to fly in, rent a car, and come in only to be seen for 5 minutes.

I think all the options for lenses to put in your eye should be made very clear as far as cost and what the lenses can do by your surgical consultant. Unknown to me my eye doctor of 40 years had written a note suggesting what he felt was best for me - a far view lens and a close up reading lens . The $11,000 close, near and far lenses not covered by medicare were heavily pushed by my first surgical consultant. I asked if medicare covered the toric lens for astigmitism correction. I was simply told no. That is true but I was not told that medicare covers a lot of it with only $1500 left to pay by the patient . She told me unless I ordered the $11,000 lenses I would have to wear glasses after the surgery. I left feeling pretty let down. I called my doctor of 40 years asking what I should do which is when I found out about the note. I was then assigned to a different surgical consultant and we got the correct solution for me and I am very happy with the results. My suggestion is to explain more thoroughly what to expect from the different choices for lenses , the actual cost you will incur especially if Medicare will pay for a lot of it - don't leave out details.

Dr. Assil is very professional, so sympathetic and down to earth Surgeon. He did my left eye and corrected what another surgeon’s error. He was so happy with the results, congratulated me. He treats his patients well and gives hope! Thank you God bless you and my favorite doctor, Dr. Natali too.

Had to wait a very long time for my appt. in Santa Monica. I think the schedule was mixed up that day. I hope my appt. the 28th of April, does not last as long. In Beverly Hills.

Doctors/staff are all very nice and competent. My only complaint is they could be better at explaining any issues to you in layman terms and making the doctor visit notes easily available without requiring a $50 fee to get a copy.

A “shout out” to Dr. Assil for remembering my father Spencer pole vaulting…..Every human being likes to be remembered for their UNIQUENESS.

I am still in process for a procedure and plan to get my other questions answered during the next appointment.

All went smoothly.

I feel very well taken care of the staff is very very experienced and knowledgeable and I came here to get my eyes corrected after having gone to another institute that messed them up the difference in the Care. I got here was so enormous. It just made me realize that not every eye institute no matter how big or how well-known is good but this one absolutely is great in every way!

Overall, very happy with my experience!
